Video is the most compelling form of communication in the modern world.
Could a video help you:
Engage with more customers?
Capture a moment forever?
Educate and move your audience?
If so, let's create great work together.
Our process:
1. Meet, Listen, Understand: We begin by sitting down with you to understand your objectives and vision.
2. Research Your Audience: To create moving material, we dig into your target audience, their preferences, and what resonates with them.

3. Generate Ideas: We brainstorm unique concepts that align with your goals and audience.
4. Select the Best Ideas: We work with you to choose the most compelling ideas to run with.

5. Plan the Shoots
6. Shoot the Video
7. Edit & Iterate: We’ll send you drafts and iterate until we have a strong final product.
8. Strategically Release: We release the video(s) in a manner that maximizes their impact, usually through websites and social media.

9. Assess and Learn: After the project is complete, we assess how we did. What did we do well? How can we do even better in the future? Our goal is always to learn and improve.

10. Work Together Again: Our goal is to build a lasting relationship, so you know who to call when you need another video.
Nate Garberich grew up in Seattle making fart videos with his friend Peter. (Unfortunately, that collection is lost to history.)
In college, he made more serious films, including one about the involuntary manslaughter of a squirrel (squirrelslaughter?), along with advertisements for a hot dog stand he and a friend started (The Underdog).
After college, Nate and his friend Ricky figured out how to make actual professional videos, doing so for organizations like the YMCA, the University of Washington Farm, and the Bellevue Police Foundation.
Despite more client work on the horizon, Nate and Ricky wanted to explore the world through other career paths, so they closed up shop in 2015.
Nate then worked for barge company in Alaska’s Bristol Bay, on a Carnival cruise ship in the Caribbean, and for a civil litigation firm in Seattle. These were all interesting experiences, but he missed video, so…
In 2022, he started Chuckanut with a mission to:
1 - Create videos that startle people into thinking, that elicit emotion, that bring joy
2 - Work with people who are passionate about their own work
3 - Operate with character, honesty, integrity, and humility
4 - Make it fun for our clients along the way
If you'd like to work together, get in touch.
Seattle-based. Open to travel, project depending.
